SOCCER ROUNDUP: Wood nets two goals in Libby win; Braves top Big Sky

HAMILTON — Two late goals by Cody Wood, at 52 and 78 minutes, allowed Libby to slip by Hamilton in a boys Class A soccer match on Saturday afternoon.

Ryan Nagle had six keeper saves for Libby.

Hamilton totaled eight shots on goal to six for Libby.

The Loggers had three corner kicks to Hamilton’s two.

LIVINGSTON — Kelton Madden’s goal in the 59th minute allowed Livingston to tie Columbia Falls in a Class A matchup.

Logan Sigurdsson, with Jakob Grein assisting, gave Columbia Falls a 2-1 lead at the 55-minute mark.

Logan Stephens, on an assist by Sigurdsson, scored at 50 minutes to tie it at 1-all.

Cassidy Pierce and Whitney Morrison scored for Big Sky.

“We need to get some goals in the back of the net,” Flathead coach Jenni Sipe said. “We had a couple good looks.”

Flathead is winless on the season.

“I want them to keep their heads up,” Sipe said. “They are playing well.”

Hayden Cade scored at 24 minutes and Carlie Smith followed with goals at 26 and 29 minutes for a 4-0 lead.

Cade opened the scoring with a goal 16 minutes into play.

She also scored in the second half.
