Complaints abound about noise, booze
A Wisconsin Avenue resident called the Whitefish Police Department because there was loud music being played nearby. The party in question had the proper permits.
A guest at a U.S. 93 South hotel called police about “loud belligerence” going on in another room. The caller was upset about the noise, the beer and the suspects “treating this town like a frat room.” Officers told the offending group to quiet down.
An employee of a business on Wisconsin Avenue called officers for assistance when a man came in intoxicated, allegedly slurring words, kicking doors and windows and being generally disorderly. The caller wanted the man removed from the property.
A caller told police that a dog on Creek View Drive was constantly barking while outside, which had been all morning. Officers attempted to make contact with the animal’s owners, but no one was home. They left a note.
Someone called police about a group of teenagers on bikes, allegedly drinking and yelling at other kids. Officers found and spoke with the group of young men about their behavior. Officers reported finding a couple of bottles of beer, but none of the suspects claimed them. The alcohol was confiscated and disposed of.
A caller at a business on Ninth Street West called the Columbia Falls Police Department after finding a glass pipe possibly containing marijuana on the property. Officers picked up the potential paraphernalia.
