The 10-year war between Greece and Troy was at a stalemate because the Greeks could not get inside the strongly walled city of Troy. They pretended to abandon the campaign and sailed away, leaving a large wooden horse which the Trojans assumed was an idol to their goddess Athena. As a war trophy, the Trojans gleefully brought it into the city to celebrate their victory. In the dead of night, a trap door opened in the bottom of the horse and select Greek warriors emerged, killing the guards and opening the gates of the city to the Greeks, who had returned after nightfall. The war was over!
Ergun and Emir Caner, raised devout Muslims here in the USA, have since become Christians with doctorate degrees in Christian theology. Since 9/11, they have done speaking engagements and written the book “Unveiling Islam” which is an insiders’ look at Islam. The Crusades (1095-1291) were the result of Islamic persecution of Christians and destruction of Roman Catholic holy sites. The Christians retaliated by adopting the jihad doctrine of the Muslims (page 73). Their “Conclusion” on page 78 states, “While modern people are only familiar with the defensive Islam of the last three hundred years, the religion has never forgotten the previous one thousand years of conquest in the cause of Allah. It is this traditional conquering Islam that has re-emerged.”
