Captain Rod Schmidt, right, and Firefighter/EMT Travis Cik of the Bigfork Fire Department stand at attention as part of the annual vigil honoring those who died in the September 11, 2001. The vigil began at 6:47 a.m. which is the time the first plane hit. Ten firefighters held vigil in different shifts until 7 p.m. The vigil is kept to honor the sacrifice of their fellow firefighters and first responders, but also to make sure people don't forget.
