James Ivan 'Jimmy' Johnson, 82

James Ivan “Jimmy” Johnson, 82, “went to be with the Lord” on Sept. 18, 2016, at the Montana Veterans Home in Columbia Falls.

Jim was in the United States Army as well as the Reserves. After his honorable discharge, he had an auto body business with his cousin until his retirement.

During his life he enjoyed woodworking, furniture repair and other crafts. He also really loved being outdoors and being with family.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Lona Johnson; and sisters Mary Barnes and Arlene Kearney.

He is survived by his sister, Myrna Henry of Winnipeg, Manitoba. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the Montana Veterans Home, especially the staff of the special care unit.

A graveside service for Jimmy was held on Tuesday, Sept. 20.
