Truck stuck in yard after being chased
Flathead County Sheriff’s Office took a report that a truck was stuck in a Cottonwood Drive yard in Evergreen after a man on foot allegedly chased the driver through two yards. The vehicle allegedly hit a fence, then a trailer before getting stuck in the yard. The man chasing the vehicle allegedly told witnesses the driver almost hit him.
A caller reported an alleged car break-in along Bernard Road in which roughly “56 pills” of oxycodone, several CDs and a phone were taken from the vehicle.
Officers were unable to locate a vehicle that allegedly ran another driver off the road and onto a sidewalk on East Idaho Street in Kalispell.
A Whitefish man reported suspicious activity when a stranger knocked on his farmhouse door and handed him $20. The caller reported the stranger thanked him for helping pay for his gas several weeks before. However, the farm owner said neither he nor any of his family members had given the stranger money. The farmer said he wondered if the stranger either mistook him, or was “casing” his house.
A Somers resident reported a child’s iPhone 6 was stolen roughly a week ago. The caller said whoever had taken the phone answered a recent call.
A Kalispell business reported they had video of a driver who was using the tire air pump on his car and left the scene with the hose still attached to the tire, ripping the hose off the building.
Columbia Falls Police looked into a complaint of an alleged scam. The caller stated a Facebook post requested donations via money orders and the writer of the message allegedly posed as the pastor of a local church.
A resident on O’Brien Avenue told Whitefish Police a political sign was stolen from her yard.
An out-of-state mother called police when she hadn’t heard from her daughter for several days. She told the operator all she knew was her daughter lived in the “ghetto.”
Someone reported tools had been stolen from a home they were constructing on Brimstone Drive. While there was no sign of forced entry, the caller reported locking the house before leaving for the day.
A Whitefish resident notified Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks that a black bear was eating plums off a tree in a Dakota Avenue front yard.
