Sorry, you did make it into blotter

A person who called Kalispell Police Department on Tuesday “requested several times to not be in tomorrow’s news blotter.”

A Third Avenue resident thought there was someone in his garage, but the responding officer reported it was empty.

A Kalispell resident called dispatch to report hearing music outside in the early morning hours.

A homeless man was sleeping under a blanket in a downtown alley, according to a person who dialed 911. He went somewhere else.

Two females and a male entered a Meridian Road business multiple times and appeared to be on drugs. They were allegedly looking for a wi-fi connection.

A Ford truck and a Jeep SUV appeared “to be having a road rage incident,” according two people who called dispatch. The truck driver was reportedly driving across traffic to get in front of the SUV, then slamming on the brakes. Other cars allegedly had to swerve into traffic to get out of their way.

A Breathalyzer being used for compliance monitoring was stolen from a vehicle, according to a West Kalispell resident.


A Flathead County Sheriff’s deputy responded to a caller who reported a disturbance at her house. A backpack in the back yard allegedly contained “a big sandwich and lots of porn.”

A woman’s dog was allegedly injured after walking on broken glass. She told dispatch that she believed someone had left it on purpose to injure the animal.

A Kila woman reported a belligerent man refused to give her sledgehammer back.

“Vulgar signs” were reportedly spotted on the north end of Lakeside, but they were on private property. The dispatch operator advised the caller they were possibly protected under freedom of speech.
