A brotherly dispute over alleged theft

Kalispell Police took a report from a man who claimed that his brother had stolen a hunting rifle, a travel trailer and some appliances.

A woman was told to call her child’s pediatrician after she reported that the youngster had swallowed a quarter several days earlier. The woman did not want dispatch to send an ambulance.

A coroner was called to Appleway Drive after a 40-year-old man was found unresponsive in a restroom.


The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office sent a deputy to investigate a report of a man slamming on his brakes and running cars off the road on U.S. 93 South in what appeared to be an act of road rage. The deputy was unable to locate a suspect.

A man reported that his 12-year-old daughter might have been raped in Hungry Horse sometime last year, but did not have specific details to give investigators.

A man called to report that someone had racked up fraudulent charges on his bank account while he was in the hospital. At first he thought his relatives might be the thieves, but later he said he didn’t think that was so.

Someone in Marion complained about the sound of an explosion after someone shot some Tannerite. The reporting party talked with the shooter about the incident and a deputy was not dispatched.

A teen was taken for a mental-health evaluation after he allegedly assaulted a relative and tried to burn a house down.


Whitefish Police took a report from a woman who claimed that a drunk man was harassing her as she walked the streets of her 3-year-old child.


Columbia Falls Police investigated a case in which a woman called from Nucleus Avenue to report that she could not go home because her brother had beaten her up.
