Ovid Rene' 'Ray' Sindon, 81
Ovid Rene’ “Ray” Sindon, 81, passed away at his home on Sept. 18, 2016.
He was born July 7, 1935, to Norbert J. Sindon and Alice Sears Sindon in Sweet Grass.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and five brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; and his eight children, Teri Sparks, Daniel Shewalter, Monica Schulze, Mary Gilbert, David Heston, Becky Anderson, Deb Lucas and Tracy Button.
He will also be greatly missed by numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
He was an amazing automotive painter and bodyman and made this his lifelong work. In 1975 he packed his family up and moved back to the Flathead Valley where he was raised as a child.
He opened Sindon Autobody, providing for his family until his retirement in 1995. After retirement he continued to do bodywork in his shop from home that he loved.
He was our hero, he could make something out of nothing and often did. His sense of humor will be missed as we have all been part of his stories, jokes and pranks. He was determined to do it all and usually did. Most of all, we will miss his love for us and the love he showed our mother.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 24, at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home, 525 S. Main St. Kalispell. Viewing will be at 1 p.m. with services at 2 p.m., officiated by Pastor Gregory DeJarnette of Providence Family Baptist Church, Lynnwood, Washington.
