Film documents ways to succeed

The Whitefish School District Board of Trustees invites the public to a film screening and discussion of the documentary “Most Likely to Succeed.”

Based on Tony Wagner and Ted Dintersmith’s book, “Most Likely to Succeed: Preparing our Kids for the Innovation Era,” the free film will be shown at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, at the Whitefish Performing Arts Center.

“Most Likely to Succeed” is the first national campaign to inspire communities across the country to revolutionize their schools for the 21st century. The movie is being screened as part of the school board’s monthly work session.

“This film creates an opportunity to help Whitefish Schools consider ways to continually improve instructional programs, personalize learning for our students, and effectively support our staff,” Superintendent Heather Davis-Schmidt said.

After the film, the trustees will host an interactive discussion about how the topics of the film relate to the Whitefish School District strategic plan and what actions the board can take to ensure the school district is preparing students for the innovation era.

For more information, call the Whitefish School District at 862-8640 or visit www.mltsfilm.org.

“We encourage all students, support staff, teachers, administrators, parents, family and community members interested in the topic of school to attend.”
