LETTER: Good schools for good communities
As parents and grandparents of children who have received their elementary and high-school education through the Kalispell school system, we appreciate the quality instruction they received and are grateful for the school buildings that they attended.
Who paid taxes for the bonds and levies that supported the school programs and building needs through all of these years? Everyone in the community! As with all bonds and levies that have been passed, it requires the community to vote YES for our kids.
Our last grandchild will finish their education in School District 5 this year, but we will continue supporting the Kalispell schools by voting YES for the upcoming bonds. It is our responsibility to ensure the next generations of children get a quality education.
By providing another elementary school to eliminate overcrowding, maintaining and updating other elementary schools and providing necessary remodeling and maintenance at the high schools, students in Kalispell Public Schools will continue to thrive in an environment conducive to learning.
As noted in the literature distributed by School District 5, the Kalispell school system is one of the top-rated in the state. Let’s help our students and schools continue to grow and meet the changing requirements of what’s needed to be successful in this world.
Please join us in voting YES. —Lew and Nina Savik, Kalispell
