LETTER: Thanks for reminding me why Hillary is wrong choice
Thank you, Sen. Brown. You have reminded me why it so especially important to vote in this November general election.
I feel the strong support that Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump received in the primaries is a wake-up call to the vast majority of citizens that are fed up with the so-called establishment. Maybe we should label that as FED UP WITH THE FEDS.
When a vote in Congress is necessary to increase the obnoxious national debt, I only wish they would not act. Shut the feds down for a while. We cannot continue this so-called business as usual in Washington. It is just a bunch of name-calling, back-stabbing and voting party lines. The special interests (PACs) and the lobbyists control our lawmakers.
We need to focus on our much dilapidated national and state infrastructures. We should make these jobs available to our citizens, so there would be a chance to get off government handouts (not entitlements, because they are NOT entitled). I feel very sad for the younger generation that does not experience the satisfaction and pride in the ability to provide for their family. OLD-FASHIONED? You betcha.
Let’s put our financial energy into infrastructures and not a social welfare lifestyle. We, as a nation, cannot and will not survive unless we get back to a moral work ethic.
We are BROKE and BROKEN. I guarantee you a vote for Hilliary will not only continue our slide, but, through example, destroy what little moral fiber Obama may leave behind. —Mark Svennungsen, Whitefish
