Lost debit card returned to owner

A woman called police when she found a debit card that had apparently been dropped and forgotten on the bus. The Whitefish Police Department was able to return the card to the owner.

A passer-by on Baker Avenue called police after allegedly witnessing two men in an alley holding handguns. The caller was concerned because the men were allegedly pointing the pistols at each other and possibly other passers-by as well, and didn’t appear to be in the “right frame of mind.” Officers responded and spoke with one suspect, who admitted being in the alley speaking with another friend. But officers found the report of weapons unfounded, and ultimately determined no incident had occurred.

A Frontage Road resident called the Columbia Falls Police Department to report a dump truck trailer had been stolen.

An employee of a Ninth Street West business called police to report finding a “small packet of something” in the parking lot. She initially thought it might have been drugs. Police discovered it was actually a pocket CPR mask that had been missing.

The Blankenship Rural Fire District responded to reports of flooding on the North Fork Road.
