Police investigate feathered grass thief
Kalispell Police investigated the claims of a man who said someone was pulling up weeds and grass and shoving them under his garage door. Responding officers found that the mess was from a bird trying to build a nest. The bird had no known criminal history.
After a heavy night of drinking, a man allegedly passed out at a local bar with his eyes open, causing concern for employees and patrons who could not rouse him. The man was breathing but non-responsive to the many attempts made to move him. The man finally woke up and went to his car to sleep it off.
A bout of road rage reportedly ended in a gun threat after a trucker pulled over because he was being harassed by another driver. The driver of the other car allegedly pulled over as well and approached the trucker with a gun in his hand. The man was reportedly yelling and hit the bill of the trucker’s hat before leaving.
A large black and gray dog was found running loose in the Second Avenue East area. Authorities impounded the dog at the county shelter.
A man with orange hair and a goatee allegedly took off on a bike after stealing items from a store on North Meridian Road.
Officers collected a husky mix from Fifth Avenue West and took him to the county shelter.
Two men were reportedly smoking marijuana while walking into Wal-Mart.
A fight broke out between two men on East California Street.
A woman turned herself in after a fight with her boyfriend ended in her accidentally running over his arm when trying to drive away. The woman said her boyfriend was hanging on to her car to prevent her from leaving when it happened. Neither party was charged or seriously injured.
Someone made a complaint after some evangelists allegedly kept pushing pamphlets through their door. Though the door had a “no soliciting” sign on it, the fliers reportedly kept coming, causing damage to the door.
A man was allegedly seen digging through a dumpster on Second Avenue East and collecting personal papers in a backpack.
Someone reported a wounded goose.
Someone claimed to have seen a man walking his dog kick the dog in the stomach and keep walking down Park Avenue, according to Whitefish Police.
Three people were allegedly seen fighting in front of a business on Central Avenue.
