Pond Skim competition Saturday

This Saturday, Whitefish Mountain Ski Resort will hold its annual Pond Skim competition on Big Mountain.

Up to 60 competitors can sign up for the event, which has a total cash purse of $1,050 split between several categories, including best costume, best crash and best pondskimmer.

Participants aged 16 and 17 need a parent’s signature to sign up. Costumes are required and all participants need to be at the event and in costume by 1:30 p.m. Round one of the competition begins at 2:30 p.m.

Registration costs $30 in advance and $40 the day of the event.
