In-law to outlaw: Man threatened to be framed for drugs

After a dispute with his father-in-law, a man called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office stating his in-law allegedly threatened to plant heroin in his vehicle and have him arrested. The man reporting the incident was afraid of getting in trouble if his father-in-law planted something illegal in the car and requested that law enforcement search the vehicle before he got in it. Deputies informed the man that he could search the vehicle himself and turn over anything illegal he found.

Someone reported hearing two “booms” in their neighborhood on Foothill Road. The person reporting was uncertain where the sound was coming from or what it was. Upon further investigation, authorities could not locate anything that went “boom.”

Several vehicles near Airport Road were allegedly broken into. Three rifles, a pistol, a spotting scope, multiple backpacks and a pair of binoculars were reportedly stolen out of the vehicles.

Three vehicles parked at a residence off U.S. 93 South were allegedly found with their tires slashed and windows smashed.

Two vehicles were reported stolen from homes on U.S. 2 East.

A man and his mother allegedly came home to find the dog door kicked in.

Two hunting knives and two speakers were allegedly stolen from a vehicle on Margrethe Road.

An injured black and white cat was spotted under a bridge near Three Mile Drive and was taken to Flathead Pet Emergency.

Someone called the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office to report a golf cart had been rolled over on its side at a golf club for no apparent reason. The suspects were probably not strong enough to tip cows.

A resident of Timber Lane was reported for shining a mirror through the windows of his neighbors’ homes.

A chainsaw was allegedly stolen off a back porch on Montana Avenue.

A 12-foot boat was reported stolen from Parmenter Drive.

A man clad in nothing but his underwear was reported for walking down the sidewalk and smoking near his home by a school, according to a report by the Kalispell Police Department.

An iPod was reportedly stolen out of a vehicle parked on Bluestone Road.

A man was reported for allegedly hanging around a skate park while using meth.

A couple was reported for allegedly filling a man’s gas tank with sugar.

Two syringes were reportedly found on a path between Colorado Avenue and Texas Avenue. Whitefish Police officers collected and destroyed the syringes.

Two dogs, a Boston terrier and an unknown breed, were sighted running at large.

A suspected shoplifter who was allegedly seen taking clothing and a jogging stroller from a store on Nucleus Avenue reportedly left behind her purse, containing her ID and several needles, according to a Columbia Falls Police report.

A concerned citizen followed a stray dog down a dirt road to make sure it did not go into the busy road nearby and get hit.
