No. 24477 CALL FOR BIDS The Flathead County Weed/Parks Board (heretofore known as the "Flathead County Weed District") will receive bids for the purchase of chemicals to be delivered FOB at the Flathead County Weed District, 309 FFA Drive, Kalispell, MT 59901. The chemicals to be purchased include: Curtail or generic equivalent 600 gallons E2 or generic equivalent 600 gallons Escort or generic equivalent 1,000 ounces Weedmaster or generic equivalent 200 gallons All liquid chemicals shall be in 2.5 gallon containers. Delivery shall be coordinated with the Weed District office and delivered prior to June 15, 2017. Safety Data Sheets shall accompany each chemical bid. Chemical labels shall accompany each chemical bid. The instructions to bidders, specifications and amounts for the chemicals, and the forms of the bid sheet and contract to be signed, may be obtained from the Flathead County Weed District, 309 FFA Drive, Kalispell MT 59901 or the Clerk to the Board of Commissioners, 800 S Main, Rm 302, Kalispell, MT 59901. No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid to secure the bidder's express covenant that if the bidder is awarded the contract, the bidder will, within ten (10) days, enter into a formal contract for the purchase and sale of the chemicals. The bid security shall be payable to Flathead County and shall be in the form of lawful money of the United States: a cashier's check, certified check, bank money order, or bank draft issued by a Montana bank, or bid bond executed by a surety corporation authorized to do business in Montana. No bidder may withdraw a bid after the actual date of the opening thereof. The major work items for Schedules I, II, IV, V, and VII include full depth pavement removal, cold planing, unclassified excavation, subbase course, crushed aggregate base course, asphalt paving, underdrains, and pavement marking. Major work items for Schedule III includes removal of pipe and drainage structures, adjustment of sign pad and lights, unclassified excavation, waste embankment, installation of pipe, seeding and topsoiling. Schedule VI consists of constructing a lavatory dump. Since a federal grant from the Federal Aviation Administration is involved in this project, the provision of Montana law giving preference of three percent (3%) to a Montana resident over a non-resident Bidder does not apply to this project. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Cashier's Check in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid, made payable to the Flathead Municipal Airport Authority, or by Bid Bond in like amount executed by a Surety Company. The Bidder must supply all the information required by the Bidding Requirements and Contract Documents. The Flathead Municipal Airport Authority reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all portions of the various bid items or reject any and all bids and make the award deemed in the best interest of the Airport Authority.
