Larry McIlhargey, 67
Larry McIlhargey, 67, passed away peacefully Monday, Aug. 7, 2017, in Kalispell, after a long battle with cancer.
Larry was born on May 30, 1950, in Conrad, to O’Larry and Delores (Whittmier) McIlhargey. Larry attended Flathead High School. Larry then went served his country honorably in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1971.
He married Sherry Barkley on May 17, 1973, in Kalispell. They were married for 44 years.
Larry went to work for CNC Plywood for several years, before Conrad Plum Creek where he stayed until 2005, Larry then went on to work at Lowe’s until he retired in December 2016. Larry was always in his garage working on projects if he wasn’t camping with his family, riding four wheelers or going to Thursday dinner with the guys.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Debbie Silverthorn.
Larry is survived by his wife, Sherry McIlhar-gey, of Kalispell; son Dan and wife Tiffany of Louisiana, son Donnie and wife Cindy of Alabama, and daughter Shaunda and husband Abram of Colorado; nine grandchildren, Dan and wife Samantha, Larry and wife Tana, Britney, Krystine, Mandy, Lindsey, Jillian, Ziah and Owen; 12 great-grandchildren, Jordyn, Macey, Tucker, Avery, Rory, Jack, Alexis, Madilyn, Shana, Austin, Tailor and Tanner; siblings, Jenny (Bob) Taylor, Rick McIlhargey and Vicky Trebas.
Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home.
