Black bear fails unexpected mascot tryout

A black bear was seen near a high school during a soccer match, according to Kalispell Police. The bear ran toward town before climbing a tree. Fish and Game employees responded to handle the bear.

A man was arrested after he allegedly entered his ex-girlfriend’s home while she was in the shower, stole her phone and hit her in the face. After leaving the scene, the man was allegedly found sitting on the back deck of his mother’s house where officers took him into custody.

A man was reportedly seen “exposing himself” while urinating on the side of building with his pants around his ankles.

A woman reported her ex for allegedly breaking into her home through a window and crawling into bed with her. She said that when the man left he allegedly stole her quilt. Officers later took the man to jail.

A woman reported her neighbor to Flathead County Sheriff’s Office for allegedly spraying water into her window while she was sleeping. The woman said the neighbor was watering her lawn when she sprayed through her open window. When she yelled at her, the neighbor allegedly told her to shut her window. She refused. Both parties were separated.

The woman later reported her neighbor again for allegedly lying in her front lawn, sunbathing without a top on. The woman allegedly covered herself when she got up but was warned by officers that if she was seen doing it again she would be taken to jail.

A man reportedly dropped off a Corvette to have some work done. The man reported the man who was supposed to be working on his car for allegedly “hot-rodding the car” and blowing it up.

A resident of Coram Stage Road reported seeing two horses run through her yard before stopping to graze in her neighbor’s yard.

Two mountain lions were reportedly spotted on Whalebone Drive.

A yellow lab was reportedly found on Ekalaka Lane and taken to the county shelter.

A man reported several items had been stolen from his property on Anderson Lane.

A group of teens was reported for standing in the middle of road and waving down drivers to get them to stop. When the drivers stopped however, the kids reportedly flipped them off and cursed at them.

Someone allegedly attempted to donate a gun at a local thrift store. Employees of the store turned the gun over to the sheriff’s office.

Someone reportedly threw a bicycle through the back window of a vehicle parked on Baker Avenue, according to a Whitefish Police report.
