Alan Gibson, 77

Alan Gibson, 77, passed away on Nov. 26, 2017, in Kalispell.

Al was born and raised in Kalispell In 1957 he entered the U.S. Navy and served for four years. After his service he returned to Montana where he met and married Maxine Stale. He then began work in construction.

Al, Maxine, and their daughter Kim settled down in Columbia Falls where they soon welcomed their daughter Karen. They later moved to Lake Blaine where Al began to build the family home. He continued in the union until his retirement. He was later widowed and his daughter Karen moved in.

Al spent his final years socializing with friends, spending time with family and watching his grandson Gibson grow. He also spent his time with a cup of coffee, watching sports and his favorite Western movies.

Al was preceded in death by his wife Maxine and daughter Kim.

Al is survived by Karen Gibson of Columbia Falls, Darin Wilson of Columbia Falls, and Cole Staley of Seattle.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 4, at the Fairview Chapel in Columbia Falls, with burial to follow at the Fairview Cemetery.
