Conservation group awarded $25,000 grant

Conservation Hawks, based in Bigfork, is one of 25 organizations nationwide to win $25,000 in grants from the Starbucks Foundation.

Conservation Hawks was specifically awarded the money for “working to educate hunters and anglers on the threat from human-caused climate change.”

The 25 winners span organizations that support veteran affairs, children’s welfare, food insecurity and social justice. Conservation Hawks was the only Montana group to win.
