- Four-H robotics training is being offered to children 8 and up and adults from 9 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 4 p.m. Dec. 2. Gregg Switzer a Montana State University Extension robotics specialist will introduce participants to Lego Mindstorms EV3 in the first session. In the second session participants will learn how to use sensors to help EV3 navigate a room or do battle. Cost is $5 and space is limited. A Kalispell location for the presentation is to be determined. To register, call the Flathead County Extension at 758-5553.

- Kalispell Montessori sixth-year students will be selling Innisbrook Christmas wrapping paper in front of the school from 8-8:30 a.m. and from 3:30-4 p.m. Dec. 5-6.

- Learn to skate at Woodland Ice Center with beginner lessons December 5-14. Lessons are held from 3:50 to 4:15 p.m. or from 4:20 to 4:45 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Cost is $51 and includes skate rental. Participants must provide their own helmet. For more information call 758-7717.

- Parent-teacher conferences will be held Dec. 6-7 at Creston School.

- Creston students will be released at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 7.

- Kalispell Montessori will hold its holiday program at 6:15 p.m. Dec. 7 at Glacier High School. Plates of cookies will be available for purchase following the program.

- Fair-Mont-Egan is holding a Santa’s Workshop at 3:30-5:30 p.m. Dec. 7 in the cafeteria. There will be fun crafts for kids and a snack hosted by the PTF.

- Students in Kalispell Public Schools have an early release on Dec. 8 for a music festival.

- Kalispell Parks and Recreation will host a cheerleading camp for children ages six and up will be held Dec. 9 at Glacier High School and Jan. 13 at Flathead High School. Participants will learn cheers, chants, jumps and stunts from local cheerleaders. Participants will also perform at halftime during a varsity basketball game. Cost is $46 per camp and a portion of proceeds benefit the high school cheerleading squads. For more information call 758-7717.

- Children in grades kindergarten through sixth are invited to create a hand-powered drawing robot with household items and learn about the science of elasticity from 3 to 6 p.m. Dec. 11-15 at ImagineIF Columbia Falls and ImagineIF Kalispell and at ImagineIF Bigfork on Dec. 12-15. The activity will also be available all day at the three locations on Dec. 16 while supplies last.

- Fair-Mont-Egan School will hold a kindergarten through fourth-grade Christmas concert at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 12.

- Fourth- through eighth-grade students at Fair-Mont-Egan will perform a Christmas concert at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 14.

- Swan River School will hold its Christmas program on Dec. 14.

- A teen social is planned at ImagineIF Kalispell from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Dec. 14. The activity will be wire wrapping pendants and bracelets. Open to teens in grades sixth through 12.

- Fair-Mont-Egan kindergarten through third-grade students have an early out at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 15.

- Evergreen Junior High presents the musical “Seussical” at 2 and 7 p.m. Dec. 16 and 2 p.m. Dec. 17 in the school gym.

- Creston students will be released at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 20. Winter break will be Dec, 21 through Jan. 1.

- Winter break for Bigfork students is Dec. 21 through Jan. 1.

- Smith Valley students have an early release on Dec. 21 for winter break, which will go through Jan. 1.

- Swan River School has scheduled winter break from Dec. 21 through Jan. 2.

- Cayuse Prairie, Fair-Mont-Egan, Kila, Somers-Lakeside and West Valley schools will have winter break from Dec. 22 through Jan. 2.

- Students in Evergreen School District and Kalispell Public Schools will have no school Dec. 22-Jan. 1 for winter break. School will be in session Jan. 2 in order to make up a day as a result of school closures in September due to cyber threats.

- Kalispell Parks and Recreation will hold its Freeze Out Camp from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Dec. 26-29 at Elrod Elementary. Cost is $30 per day and is open to children ages 5-13. For more information call 758-7975.

- There is no school Jan. 15 for Columbia Falls and West Glacier school districts. It is Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

- There is no school Jan. 15 for students in Kalispell Public Schools. It is a teacher training day.
