Flathead boys top CMR, 62-47

GREAT FALLS — Flathead used a 20-point second quarter to gain a critical advantage en route to a 62-47 Class AA boys nonconference basketball victory over Great Falls C.M. Russell on Friday night.

It was the season opener for both schools.

CMR led 10-9 after the first period, but Flathead held a 29-17 edge at the half.

Tyler Johnson topped Flathead in scoring with 22 points. Sam Elliott was next with 14 and Eric Seaman had 11.

Flathead hosts Great Falls High today at 4:30 p.m.
