Burglar makes self at home

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received a call from someone who had come home to the scene of a break-in. Police logs say that it looked like “they had time to start a fire, use the toilet, [and] shoot a BB gun,” and that the “place was in disarray.” Evidence was collected.

A bounty hunter requesting backup in apprehending a target was declined, as there was no warrant out for his arrest.

After being told by the electric company that she was using “an extreme amount of electricity,” a resident discovered a cord plugged into an outside outlet. She was unsure who was using it.

A caller requested that officers remove his fiancee’s teenage son from his house. Officers concluded that “this is a parenting issue and not a law enforcement issue,” and that the young man was “only whining about wanting doughnuts and tacos, which is not criminal.”

An angora sheep dragging a chain was reported in a Kalispell backyard. The owners were located and notified.

The Whitefish Police Department reportedly asked a belligerently-acting bar patron to leave.
