Eureka sat atop the season’s first Class B/C wrestling coaches poll just ahead of Colstrip, the school the Lions edged to win the state championship earlier this year.

Eureka placed first in the poll despite having only ranked individuals.

Garrett Graves, Eureka’s defending state champion in the 182-pound weight class, was the only Lion ranked first individually.

Nathan Schmidt (120) is ranked second in the state individually, while Hank Dunn (138) and Sam Johnson (285) are each third.

Eureka hosts a mixer beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday.
