No. 25013 INVITATION TO BID Separate sealed bids for the "Proposed Water Lines & Pump House for South Eighty Subdivision" will be received by APEC Engineering until 3:00 PM local time on January 24, 2018. After this time the bids will be taken into consideration and opened at the discretion of the Owner. The project includes all labor, materials, and fees to install water mains, valves, pump house, outside electrical conduits, appurtenant structures, and associated site work. The project does not include well installation, installation of well pumps, generator, fence, and associated piping and electrical work within the pump house (E.G. booster pumps, electrical controls, pump house HVAC). The project limits are between the well pitless' and the providing of a stub into the pump house floor. Bid will be awarded on or before February 1, 2018 and substantial completion is June 1, 2018. All bids must be sealed in a manila envelope addressed and delivered to the LCWSD at 253 Bierney Creek Road, Lakeside, MT 59922. The sealed envelope containing the bid must be clearly marked "South Eighty Site Work" and contain the name and address of the contractor. Bids shall be submitted on the forms provided with the contract documents. Contractors may secure one set of documents at the office of LCWSD, 253 Bierney Creek Road, Lakeside, MT 59922 upon deposit of $100.00 beginning on December 13, 2017. The deposit is refundable when contract documents are returned to the LCWSD in good condition within ten days after the bid deadline. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total base bid and shall be in the form of a Certified Check, Cashiers Check or bid bond payable to Glacier Bank. The successful bidder shall furnish an approved "Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond" each in the amount of one-hundred percent [100%] of the Contract amount. Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful Bidder and certificates of that insurance shall be provided. No bidder may withdraw his bid for at least thirty [30] days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids. Each Contractor and any of the Contractor's subcontractors doing work on this project will be required to obtain registration with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry (DLI) in the proper classification. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all proposals received, to waive any technicalities or informalities, to postpone the award of the contract for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days and to accept the lowest responsible bid which is in the best interest of the owner.
