Florida man dies during Glacier snowshoe walk

A tourist from Miami died Tuesday while snowshoeing in Glacier National Park, according to a press release from the park.

The 64-year-old man collapsed during a guided snowshoe walk along Fish Creek Campground Road near Lake McDonald.

The group’s commercial guide called park dispatch and began CPR, which park rangers continued. Three Rivers Ambulance and ALERT Air Ambulance also responded. Efforts to resuscitate the visitor were unsuccessful.
