Rademacher knocks down 6 3s as Glacier rolls by Capital

Brec Rademacher was on target from long range, scoring a game-high 18 points to lead Glacier to a 55-40 Western AA boys basketball victory Friday night over Helena Capital.

Rademacher was 6 of 9 from 3-point land to account for all of his scoring.

Jaxen Hashley had 17 points, 15 rebounds and five assists for the Wolfpack. He was 8 of 11 shooting from the field and added a free throw to complete his scoring.

Glacier jumped out to a 14-6 advantage after the opening quarter and led 31-20 at intermission.

Haller paced Capital in scoring with 13 points.

Glacier hosts Helena High today at 2 p.m.

Flathead struggled early and never recovered in dropping a Western AA contest to Helena High.

The Bengals charged in front 36-14 at the half.

Taylor England, on 9 of 11 shooting from the field, finished with a game-high 22 points for Helena. He was 4 of 6 at the charity stripe.

The Bengals attempted 37 free throws, making 19.

Kendall Thursen had 11 points for Helena.

Sam Elliott scored 17 points for Flathead.

RONAN — A strong four quarter helped Ronan pull away from Troy in a Class B nonconference contest.

Ronan outscored Troy 24-8 over the final eight minutes for the 26-point win.

WHITEFISH — Stevensville pulled away from Whitefish down the stretch, outscoring the Bulldogs 22-10 in the fourth quarter for the Class A nonconference win.

Stevensville capitalized at the free-throw line, making 11 of 12 shots.

Jarod Kingsbury and James Fry led Stevensville with 16 points each. They combined for 25 points in the second half.

Dalton Bragg was next with 15.

Sawyer Silliker had a game-high 21 points for Whitefish. Derek Kastella scored 15 and Lee Walburn 12.

HELENA — Helena Capital held Glacier to 14 first-half points, a spurt that allowed the Bruins to beat Glacier in a Western AA contest.

Glacier held a slight scoring edge on Capital in the second half, 26-22.

Nikkin Krueger and Anna Schrage scored scoring honors for Glacier with 11 points each.

Katie Culver had 14 points and Megan Lindbo 10 for Capital.
