Tribes release hunting, fishing and recreation regulations
The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes have released hunting, fishing and recreation regulations for the 2017-18 license season, which begins March 1.
“Recent discovery of zebra mussels in central Montana has elevated the need to reduce the risk of infestation in Flathead Lake,” Tom McDonald, manager of the Division of Fish, Wildlife, Recreation and Conservation, said in a press release. “In order to participate in Mack Days fishing events, all boats need to be inspected for aquatic invasive species.”
Licenses and regulation booklets for the 2017-18 permit season can be obtained during regular business hours at 406 Sixth Ave. E. in Polson. Permits are also available at local vendors throughout Western Montana.
New licenses and stamps are also available online at app.mt.gov/index.
