One of three individuals being prosecuted for vandalizing and burglarizing a Whitefish home in April is now facing six additional felony charges for a string of alleged crimes that stretch from February to August of 2016.

Prosecutors filed charges on Dec. 22 against Jeremy Dennis Marr, 42, in two separate cases.

In the first case, Marr is charged with issuing a bad check, felony, common scheme. According to court documents Marr allegedly wrote 21 checks from his bank account from May to August, totaling $2,522.

In the second case, Marr faces two counts of felony burglary, two counts of felony theft, and a single count of felony forgery.

Court documents accuse Marr of breaking down the glass doors of Professional Therapy Associates on Whitefish Stage Road on Feb. 25. A box of checks, laptop, computer accessories, office supplies, keys, cleaning supplies, checks and cash were stolen. The stolen checks were reported as cashed in May, with checks allegedly made out to Marr for a total of $4,300.

On June 7, a theft was reported at the same building as the therapy business in the office of West Tech Computer Solutions. The business owner reported that he believed his business might have been accessed during the previous break-in because checks appeared to be missing and on May 20 a check worth $1,785 had been cashed from his business account without permission.

The Professional Therapy Associates building was again ransacked on July 16. This time computer equipment, cash and gift cards were taken.

On July 25, Marr and Marjorie Marie James, 40, were allegedly documented on film using one of the gift cards taken from Professional Therapy Associates.

On Aug. 11, a woman reported that Marr and James had bought a wedding ring from her for $3,000 and allegedly used a check from West Tech’s bank account that did not clear the bank. The woman was unable to get the ring back.

Marr has been jailed since Aug. 18. He is set to be arraigned on the new charges on Jan. 17, the same day he is set to stand trial for the burglary of a Whitefish home.

In that case, he, James, and Andrew James Ford, 29, are accused of using James’ status as housekeeper to access a Whitefish home. Court documents state the trio allegedly took a Toyota FJ Cruiser, stereo equipment, a safe, jewelry and other items. The homeowner told the Daily Inter Lake that the home was completely wrecked in the burglary, with more than $43,000 in damage done to the media room. The homeowner accused the trio of renting adult films on the home’s television, taking three suitcases full of valuable coins and causing a mess so extensive that it took a team five days to get the home back in order.

The homeowner estimated the damages to be more than $100,000.

James, Ford and Marr have all pleaded not guilty in the case.
