A Kalispell teenager is facing a felony charge after allegedly attacking a police officer who was responding to a call for service.

Madysen Molly Jo Gilmor, 19, has been charged with felony assault on a peace officer. According to court documents, an officer responded to a physical disturbance at a residence on First Avenue East North on Dec. 18.

Gilmor allegedly was found in a garage and started yelling enraged profanities at the officer and furiously approached him. She allegedly did not comply with commands to stop her approach and punched the officer in the head twice before she could be taken into custody.

In bond documents Gilmor reported she is unemployed, has lived in the community for the past year after living in Billings, and has previously been arrested for theft.

Gilmor was released from jail. She is set to be arraigned on Thursday.
