Krueger takes commission reins as chairman

Flathead County Commissioner Gary Krueger will serve as chairman of the commission for the coming year, the commissioners decided Tuesday. Pam Holmquist had chaired the commission for the past three years.

During their annual reorganization Tuesday morning, each of the three commissioners opted to keep their same committee assignments.

Krueger serves on the Local Emergency Planning Committee, Resource Advisory Committee, Solid Waste District board, Western Montana Regional Juvenile Detention board and transportation advisory board.

Holmquist serves as the commission representative on the board of directors for the Agency on Aging, Montana West Economic Development, Montana Coalition of Forest Counties, Flathead River Commission, Fair Commission, Flathead City-County Health and the county audit committee.

Commissioner Phil Mitchell serves on the board of directors for the 911 Emergency Dispatch Center, Child Development Center, Flathead County Chemical Dependency Clinic, Western Montana Regional Mental Health, Flathead Basin Commission, Flathead County Economic Development Authority, DUI Task Force/Safe Kids Community Coalition and the Technical Advisory Committee.
