Polson sweeps Stevi

POLSON —The Polson boys made a run at the end of the first quarter to pull away from Stevensville in a 58-44 nonconference basketball victory on Thursday night.

The game started off back and forth before the Pirates (3-4) began to pull away at the end of the opening frame, leading 14-9 entering the second quarter. Polson led 31-22 at halftime and made another run in the third to take a 43-29 lead into the final eight minutes of play.

Tanner Wilson scored 19 points and J’Von Johnson scored 16 points to lead the Pirates.

Jared Kingsbury led the Yellowjackets (3-4) with 15 points.

STEVENSVILLE — Lauren Lefthand scored 21 points and Kaelyn Smith had 15 points as Polson picked up its first win of the season in a nonconference game against Stevensviile.

The Pirates (1-6), who led by one point at halftime, pulled away in the second half to secure the victory.

Megan Pendergast scored 17 points to lead Stevi (1-6).
