NEW YORK — Columbia Falls bull rider Matt Triplett fell down the standings at the Professional Bull Riders Buck Off at the Garden on Saturday at Madison Square Garden after falling off his second ride of the day.

Triplett, the top-ranked bull rider in the world standings, rode RMEF for 62 points on his first ride of the night, but the low bull score offered the 25-year old a chance to re-ride.

In his second go of the night, Triplett was dumped in 4.80 seconds off King Buck.

The buck dropped Triplett to seventh place in the event standings at 87 points.

Volborg’s Jess Lockwood is in first place at the event with 175 points, nearly winning the round for the second straight day with a 87.25-point ride on X Factor. Brazil’s Fabiano Vieira scored 87.50 points on Rocco. Melstone’s Nevada Newman was bucked for the second straight day, this time in 2.27 seconds on Jailhouse Jr.

The event ends today and will be broadcast live on PBR.com at 11:15 a.m. and on a delay on CBS Sports Network at 6 p.m.
