Glacier rolls Frenchtown

FRENCHTOWN — Jaxen Hashley had 21 points and 17 rebounds to lead Glacier to a 55-33 nonconfrence rout of Frenchtown on Tuesday.

Hashley helped the Wolfpack (6-1) to a 24-11 lead at halftime as the Class AA squad was able to assert its dominance in the paint.

Glacier held Frenchtown (4-4) to just 30.8 percent shooting from the field, including 15 percent from deep. Adam Botkin had a team-high nine points for the Broncs on the only three 3-pointers for Frenchtown, which was 3 for 20 from long range.

FLORENCE — Florence ran out to a 28-7 first quarter lead in a District 6B rout of Ronan.

The Falcons (3-2 6B, 5-5 overall) led 48-17 at half and coasted in the final two quarters to secure the victory.

Kobe Morigeau had a team-high six points for Ronan (2-2, 6-4).

FRENCHTOWN — Glacier went cold on offense before halftime falling in a hole it couldn’t get out of in a nonconference loss to Frenchtown.

The Wolfpack (2-5) led 18-15 after the first quarter and played Frenchtown (7-1) even in the second half but couldn’t find the net in the second quarter. Frenchtown outscored Glacier 17-5 in the quarter, holding on for the victory.

Nikki Krueger had 17 points and 11 rebounds to lead Glacier and Kali Gulick added 11 points for the Wolfpack, which lost its third straight game.

Liv Williams scored a game-high 21 points for Frenchtown and Shannon Worster had 16 points. The Broncs are on a four-game winning streak after a close loss to Columbia Falls.

Ronan 52, Florence 40

FLORENCE — Ronan dominated in a matchup of undefeated District 6B teams.

The Maidens (4-0 6B, 10-0 overall) were locked up 19-19 at half but pulled away in the final two quarters, topping Florence 19-12 in the third and 14-9 in the fourth.

Lee Camel had a game-high 20 points to lead Ronan and Alicia Camel added 12 points.

Rilee Mangun had 13 points for Florence (3-1, 7-1) and Chloe Arthur had 10 points.

Ronan is one of two remaining unbeaten teams in Class B along with Colstrip (7-0). The Fillies have a tough matchup this week against Huntley Project to try and keep pace.
