Caller feels nutty after squirrel encounter

Kalispell Police Department answered a person’s questions regarding possibly “needing a rabies shot if bit by squirrel.”

A woman asked to speak with an officer after allegedly receiving a piece of hate mail.

An employee at a Kalispell shop on Main Street told offers that a man asked to use a phone and when the employee responded that there was no public phone in the shop, the man started screaming.

A resident on South Woodland Drive called officers to report some neighborhood dogs that had been barking for 30 minutes.

A resident on Sixth Street West reported a car that had been parked along the street for several days, allegedly blocking mailboxes.

A Fourth Avenue resident was concerned after hearing a neighbor’s dogs barking outside in the cold. Officers discovered the dogs had food and water and a large dog kennel filled with hay to stay warm. The responding officer said he believed the dogs were barking at a deer that had been stuck in the fence earlier.

Whitefish Police took a report from a man on Minnesota Avenue who complained that the wrong vehicle had been towed from his street.

Someone reported that three 17-year-old girls might have been served alcohol, but an officer was unable to locate any women in that particular bar.

Columbia Falls Police received a report of a specialized bike that was stolen from Third Avenue East North.

Flathead County Sheriff’s Office took a complaint from a man who claimed that he was getting harassing messages from a man who was calling him names and claiming that he was having sex with the man’s girlfriend. The man said the girlfriend felt harassed also.

A Honda generator was reported stolen from Canyon Creek Trailhead.

Two men reportedly stole a DVD player from somewhere on U.S. 2 East.

A woman called from Bigfork to report that one lady had threatened to beat up another lady, after the other lady gave birth. Apparently one of the women was jealous over the child’s father.
