Fair-Mont-Egan adds superintendent position
Due to an increased number of staff, Fair-Mont-Egan will have a superintendent position for the duration of the school year.
Previously the school only had a principal position to oversee the small school, but with an increase in the number of full-time certified staff such as teachers, state accreditation requirements necessitate a superintendent for schools with more than 14 certified or licensed staff.
Paul Jenkins has filled the role since December. He is expected to work three to four hours a week, or the full-time equivalent of 0.1. Jenkins has scheduled to work school two days a month. Jenkins is the former superintendent of Somers-Lakeside School District, retiring in June.
