C-Falls man accused of stealing from landlord
A $5,000 arrest warrant was issued Jan. 9 for a Columbia Falls man after he allegedly stole items valued at thousands of dollars from a residence he had rented and then pawned the goods.
Jacob Lee Hader, 24, was charged in Flathead District Court with felony theft.
According to court documents, a property owner reported on Feb. 29, 2016, that Hader allegedly had rented a Marion residence and had stolen many items from the property. Tools, camping gear, silver coins, gasoline and trapping equipment, valued at more than $16,000, allegedly were stolen.
Hader allegedly signed a written admission of guilt and promised to pay the property owner back for the items or replace them, but did not. Hader also allegedly admitted to the thefts when a sheriff’s deputy investigated.
An arraignment date has not yet been set.
