Caller udderly concerned about cow

Someone on Willow Glen Drive in Kalispell asked the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office to check on a cow with “super engorged udders,” thinking it hadn’t been milked in awhile.

A report was taken from several callers due to poor cell service when a man allegedly pulled a gun on a woman on the west side of Reservoir Road around Lakeview Campground. Three vehicles containing seven or eight adults allegedly tried barricading the road, reportedly because the woman was speeding. When she tried to drive past the barricade, the man with the gun allegedly hit or kicked the side of her vehicle. The woman reportedly drove about 50 yards before pulling over to check for any damage when the man allegedly drew his gun, pointing it at her.

A Kalispell man was advised that it was not indecent exposure when his wife allegedly saw a neighbor’s child, who was dancing on a picnic table, raise her shirt. The wife then reported that the neighbor’s children “wait until they are outside and then peek over the fence and do other annoying acts.” Dispatchers logged that no crime had been committed.

A Kila resident called officers report an alleged “baby wolverine” with “big teeth” was stuck between a barrel and a cat house on Kila Road. Fish and Game located and released the animal, which turned out to be a weasel.

An accident between two vehicles on Ferndale Drive in Bigfork resulted in a 1932 Model A rolling into a ditch. No injuries were reported.

A shirtless man, who was reportedly high, driving a pickup pulling a homemade trailer allegedly “took a bunch of metal out of the metal pile,” at a green box site, before heading onto Montana 82. The scruffy man reportedly told the site employee he would break into the location that night. No charges were filed for the incident, however, the man was arrested for a separate incident.

A Lakeside business owner wanted to ask law enforcement how to handle a troublesome customer.

A man on Riverside Road in Bigfork reported 95 bales of hay were taken from his property during the night and requested extra patrol.

A woman on U.S. 93 North in Kalispell reported being harassed by a buyer on Craigslist who allegedly tried to use a fake check to purchase an item the woman sold to another person. The woman was advised to report the incident to the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center online.

Officers were advised that about 15 vehicles parked on Adams Street in Lakeside was partially blocking the road down to one lane of traffic.

People on dirt bikes were supposedly in a walking-only park according to someone on Kings Way in Kalispell.

A box of puppies or kittens was spotted on McDermott Lane in Kalispell, but was gone by the time officers arrived.

A Kalispell resident told officers she was concerned about “shoddy construction work” of a fence bordering her property after allegedly injuring herself because of it.

A vehicle of four or five people reportedly shot fireworks at vehicles on U.S. 93 and were cited for disorderly conduct. A couple of them were additionally cited for minor in possession and released.

A Columbia Falls woman said neighbors across the street reportedly kept screaming that she was a drug dealer and were “generally harassing her.”

Someone on Canyon Creek Road wanted officers to check on a purportedly “very intoxicated” man who had a large bonfire going that wasn’t in a fire ring and were concerned a forest fire could be accidentally started.

A Mountain Drive resident in Hungry Horse wanted to report an “episode” outside her gate involving six kids in a truck, but didn’t elaborate.

Kalispell Police Department received a report of a blown transformer on Second Avenue East North between East Idaho Street and East Washington Street. Flathead Electric was notified and sent out a crew.

The Tupperware container an employee found and believed it may contain drugs turned out to be someone’s leftover meal. The meal was disposed of.

Apparently the riding style of a motorcyclist perturbed someone who reported the man for doing alleged burnouts, adding that the man “drinks whiskey and gets mean.” The man told police he revs his engine and accelerates after stopping at stop signs and doesn’t peel out or exceed the speed limit, but was open to modifying his driving behavior “to keep the neighbors happy.”

Two men and a woman in a pickup truck reportedly honked and threw a cup of ice water at a man in a parking lot on Treeline Road.

A man with a blanket and pillow was seen lying near a street and was later cited for trespassing.

A man was allegedly threatened and shoved at a water park.

A man who was seen lying on the ground and not moving on Third Avenue East North and East Montana Street was transported by emergency medical services.

Someone told police he saw a man and a woman with needles and spoons, allegedly for drugs, on East Idaho Street.

Police received several calls about dogs being left in vehicles on hot days.

Whitefish Police Department received a report from a U.S. 93 South business that a man was purportedly caught on camera stealing vodka throughout the day.

A man on U.S. 40 reportedly followed a driver who allegedly cut him off, into a store to “check on his well being,” and the driver supposedly “freaked out,” spitting on him. The man was advised not to confront someone after such an incident. The man reportedly said he was “military trained and raised ‘old school’ meaning it is not uncommon to stop and check on someone’s well-being even after they cut you off and nearly caused a crash.”

An allegedly intoxicated and disorderly guest damaged an elevator and was making threats on Wisconsin Avenue.

A pistol was reported stolen from a vehicle on Birch Point Drive.

Columbia Falls Police Department responded to a report that a man and woman entered a house through a garage and weren’t supposed to be there.

In a turn of events, a man on Sixth Street West said the possible suspect of his identity theft reportedly called to turn himself in.
