On August 27, 2014, at its regularly scheduled work session, the Commission voted to approve the application of Indian Springs for establishment of initial rates and charges under Admin. R. Mont. 38.5.2528 (2014). Indian Springs was authorized to implement a flat charge of $40.00 per month for non-metered residential water customers and a sewer service charge of $20.00 per month ($60.00 total charge); a non-metered RV lot charge of $30.00 for water and $10.00 for sewer ($40.00 total charge); a monthly metered commercial (non-irrigation) customer rate of $40.00 per connection with a $2.00 per 1,000 commodity charge for usage in excess of 10,000 gallons with a flat $30.00 per connection per month charge for sewer service; and a monthly metered commercial (irrigation) charge of $40.00 plus a usage rate of $0.40 per 1,000 gallons for customer usage in excess of 10,000 gallons, effective September 15, 2014. On May 15, 2017, the Commission sent a 3-year Compliance Filing Notice, reminding Indian Springs that it must notify the Commission in writing of its decision to file a request for an extension of the standard rates, a rate application, or an operating ratio methodology application, explain its selection, and confirm compliance with annual report requirements, at least three months before its rate expiration date of September 15, 2017, pursuant to Mont. Admin. R. 38.5.2528(9). On June 15, 2017, Indian Springs filed a letter notifying the Commission it is in compliance with the annual report requirements and is requesting a 3-year extension of the standard rate tariffs.
