Fore! Dog walks off with errant golf shot

An angry golfer reported a woman for stealing his golf ball and running into her house with it. The man told Kalispell Police, when he asked for the ball back, the woman’s husband threatened to shoot him. The woman involved stated that her dog had found the ball and picked it up. The woman had taken the ball from her dog and then run back across the street into her home to avoid being hit by flying balls. She told officers the ball’s owner had allegedly come onto her property carrying a golf club and demanding she return it, at which time her husband told the man to leave and said he would get the gun when he refused.

A group of male skateboarders were reportedly caught on video intentionally damaging a light pole near a business.

A spider infestation was reported by a neighbor concerned the bugs were coming from the house next door. The reporting person described the spiders as yellow and “poisonous looking.” The person thought the spiders were congregating as a result of their neighbor’s lack of lawn care.

A man was reported for stealing batteries from a grocery store before walking across the street, sitting down and putting them into his radio.

Someone reportedly broke into a vehicle and stole a pair of prescription sunglasses and the car’s operating manual.

A mastiff mix and a lab mix were found running down Fifth Avenue East and taken to the county shelter.

Two sheep reportedly appeared in someone’s yard on Auction Road. The homeowner told Flathead Sheriff’s deputies he was unsure who owned the sheep or where they came from but agreed to allow them to stay for the time being.

Someone allegedly stole multiple plumbing fixtures from a construction site on East Edgewood Drive.

A blue heeler was reported missing from Farm to Market Road.

A resident of Conrad Drive called to inform officers he found a dead bat in his driveway.

A mother reported a 13-year-old boy for assaulting her 8-year-old son after he allegedly pushed her son to the ground and cut his face with a razor.

A man was reportedly seen burying a 5-foot body in a hole on Moose Street. Deputies determined it was a dead dog.

Multiple thefts were reported by campers staying at a campground on Halfmoon Flats Road.

An argument over Facebook reportedly resulted in a face-to-face encounter between the parties involved. When a car full of people allegedly pulled up to a woman’s residence, the group began arguing until someone allegedly sprayed bear spray in the air, dispersing the crowd. None of the parties involved would admit to using the bear spray.

A man reported his neighbor to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office for “constantly sprinkling” and making puddles in the road.

Someone allegedly stole a wedding band and a game camera from a residence on Lodgepole Way.

A black bear was reportedly seen strolling down Farm to Market Road.

A man reported a break in at his neighbor’s home on Big Timber Lane. The man reportedly found a broken window and footprints inside the house. Several items were reportedly missing.

A resident of Ski Road also allegedly returned home to find his home and vehicle had been broken into.

A silver bike was found stashed in the woods near a cemetery in Libby.

Someone reported the theft of tires off a vehicle parked in the Yaak area.

A wedding reception allegedly bothered neighboring residents when the celebration got too loud. Whitefish Police officers crashed the reception and advised the partiers to turn the music down.

Someone reportedly broke into a vacant home on Wildcat Drive, according to Columbia Falls Police.
