Col. Falls meeting to explain highway project

An informational meeting to update the public about planned improvements to U.S. 2 through Columbia Falls will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, at Columbia Falls City Hall.

The project includes the portion of highway just east of the Montana 40 junction and proceeding to a point just east of the Flathead River bridge. It will include asphalt paving, asphalt milling, sidewalk construction, curb and gutter construction, signing, striping and lighting improvements.

The Montana Department of Transportation and Knife River Corp. are coordinating the meeting and will provide information about scheduling. Participants will be able to ask questions.
