Ronan man, 19, killed in motorcycle accident

Authorities have identified a 19-year-old Ronan man killed in a motorcycle crash that occurred the night of July 20.

Gibson Donald Brooks was pronounced dead on the scene from injuries sustained in the crash, according to Lake County Sheriff Donald Bell. A passenger was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries.

Authorities reported that Gibson was traveling southbound on Sloan’s Bridge Road off of Round Butte Road west of Ronan when his motorcycle went off the road and crashed at 11 p.m.

The investigation is ongoing.
