Warren Richard Williams, 90

Warren Richard Williams, 90, of Kalispell, passed away on July 20, 2017.

Warren was born on Feb. 25, 1927, in Missoula to Richard Williams and Alta Bostic Williams. He grew up in the Proctor area, where he attended school, later continuing at Flathead County High School.

In 1945 Warren married the love of his life, Marjorie L. Peebler Williams. They had one son, Dale Williams. On April 23, 2017, they celebrated 72 years of marriage.

He was fortunate that his logging career was also his passion. As an independent contractor he logged in the Swan Valley for over 30 years. Those who knew him considered him to be an honest, compassionate family man who was always willing to help other people.

Warren is survived by his loving wife Marjorie of Kalispell, sister Gloria Landon and husband Don of Kalispell, grandson Sean Williams and wife Beth of Bozeman, great-granddaughter Riley Williams of Bozeman, daughter-in-law Brenda Williams Cuthbertson of Bigfork, a nephew they helped raise, Michael DeShazer and wife Lori of Columbia Falls, and many other beloved nieces and nephews.

Warren was preceded in death by his son, Dale Williams, and three sisters, Marietta Davis, Audrey Daken and Pat Hanson.

A celebration of Warren’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on July 29 at the Kalispell First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Ed Koteskey officiating. Family and friends will also gather at the church immediately following the service.

Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home will be caring for the family. Private burial will be at Glacier Memorial Gardens. At the request of family memorial donations may be made to the Kalispell First Church of the Nazarene, 1295 Whitefish Stage Road, Kalispell.
