Dorothy Jean Roberson, 92

Dorothy Jean Roberson was born in Eureka, Kansas, on Feb. 6, 1925, to Creet and Adelia Meredith. Dorothy was a very bright student in high school and earned a place in the National Honor Society.

After graduating from high school Dorothy traveled to Alaska to take a job with the State Department. Her occupation took her to far away places meeting people from all walks of life. Her occupation eventually landed Dorothy in Afgh-anistan. There she worked at the American Embassy where she met her beloved husband John “Robbie” Roberson. Robbie was in charge of the guard duty for the embassy at that time with the United States Marine Corps.

Dorothy and Robbie were married on Dec. 6, 1962, in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, John “Robbie” Roberson, and her two children Kathy Iverson and John Roberson and his wife Julie. Dorothy has four grandchildren, Brianna Ralph, Cameron Iverson, Kiera Roberson and Cayden Roberson, and one great-grandson Gunnar Ralph.

On July 22 2017, “Our Lord and Savior called her home.” She was 92 years old.
