Bicyclist tries bear spray on dogs

A cyclist reported being nearly attacked by two dogs while riding down Lower Valley Road. The man told Flathead Sheriff’s deputies he attempted to use bear spray on the dogs, but it had no effect on them.

A shepherd mix was seen wandering around near the Hidden Waters subdivision.

A storage unit on Coverdell Drive was reportedly broken into and several items taken.

A resident of Two Mile Drive reported a “maniac” for allegedly shooting an AK-47 down the road. The woman flagged down officers and told them the man was a “menace to society.” Officers informed the woman it is not illegal to shoot within the county.

Two men were reported for allowing their two large German shepherds to fight. The men were seen on Central Avenue allegedly watching the dogs fight without attempting to stop them, according to a Whitefish Police report.

A husky puppy was reportedly seen on Talbot Road, wandering near a construction site, according to Columbia Falls Police.

Someone allegedly threw a rock through a window of a house on 11th Street West.
