Former Beyoncé bassist playing Whitefish

Bass player and longtime touring member of Beyoncé’s backing band, Divinity Roxx will play an intimate free concert at Whitefish’s Bonsai Brewing Project, Sunday, June 4 from 6-8 p.m.

Roxx toured with the international superstar for five years, playing at the Grammy Awards, on the “Oprah Winfrey Show,” “Saturday Night Live” and “Good Morning America,” and at the White House in support of Beyoncé. She also served as the musical director for K-Pop star 2NE1 in 2012.

A one-time journalism student at the University of California-Berkeley, Roxx attended a bass camp led by Victor Wooten and began touring with the Grammy winning artist three months later.

“The ImPossible Album” is Roxx’s latest solo release and is available on her website, www.divinityroxx.com. She is in the midst of her nationwide “Dream Work” tour and will be playing in Bozeman tonight, West Yellowstone on Friday and Helena on Saturday.
