A Kalispell man took a plea deal June 1, admitting to various drug charges in exchange for others being dismissed.

Sergey Kubai, 28, pleaded guilty to two counts of felony distribution of dangerous drugs in Flathead District Court.

Pursuant to the plea agreement between Kubai and the state, two subsequent distribution charges were dropped in exchange for his guilty plea.

According to court documents, Kubai agreed to meet with and sold multiple grams of heroin to a confidential informant for the Northwest Montana Drug Task Force for around $1,800 between June and July of 2016.

Sentencing is set for July 20.

The charge of distribution carries a potential sentence of life in prison and a maximum fine of $50,000.
