Road construction roundup for Northwest Montana

Road construction will close Second and 10th Avenues East in Kalispell from June 12 through June 15.

Construction hours will begin at approximately 7 a.m. and finish at 5 p.m. each day. The work will take place between First and Second Avenues East.

In other area road projects:

- On Montana 82 near Somers, rumble strips, paving, chip seal, sweeping, striping, sign installation and shoulder work are underway. Completion is expected by late June.

- On the Kalispell Bypass, chip sealing operations are underway between mile markers 2.5 to 5.2.

- On Foy’s Canyon Road from Heron Park to Sunrise Court, chip seal, sweeping, striping, signs, and guardrail work are underway. Completion is expected by mid-July.

- On U.S. 2 at mile marker 135.8, installation of a new railroad crossing will begin Monday, June 12 and continue through June 16.
