Bigfork’s community theater group is now accepting proposals from directors for its 2017-18 season.

The Bigfork Community Players are seeking submissions for plays that will appeal to “a broad base of performers and audiences” and can include comedies and dramas of various size and scope.

Interested directors are asked to attend the group’s June 28 board meeting at the Swan River Inn (360 Grand Drive, Bigfork) and make a presentation. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. The board requests interested directors advise them via email (bigforkcommunityplayers@gmail.com) of their intent to present prior to the meeting.

Presentations should include the following:

— A show overview, including title, author, cast size, age ranges of cast members, typical run time and a brief synopsis.

— An overall show concept outlining the historical period, style, dialects, geographical location and the director’s interpretation.

— A set design with special needs for staging, scene changes and set pieces.

— A technical outline for sound, lights and necessary special effects.

—The preferred date for the show to run, if applicable (fall, winter or spring).

The board also requests a resume of prior directing, producing and/or acting experience. Directors may submit up to three shows for consideration.
